Background: To investigate the association between diet and health effects in population surveys, it is necessary to have precise tools that allow estimating habitual consumption of population. Introduction: Aim: evaluate reproducibility validity ELSA-Brasil food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) assess macro micronutrients intake. Material methods: We collected dietary information 281 participants which completed two questionnaires over a year period three records. FFQ, we compared intake from FFQ while validity, intakes with mean The intraclass correlation test (ICC) agreement percentages nutrient were calculated after categorization by tertiles. Results: ICC coefficients for ranged 0.51 (polyunsaturated fat) 0.70 (magnesium) 0.14 0.61 omega 3 magnesium, respectively. exact concordances methods 37% 50.2% magnesium (mean = 44.6%). An average disagreement 13.4% was found. Conclusions: This study suggests suitable tool satisfactory relative validity.
